Structure of MMI Menu For Samsung Component Placer CP45NEO Series

The menu structure and the functions of each command of MMI(Man-Machine Interface), which serves as the application program for the operation of this machine, are briefly explained in this chapter. For detailed information on each menu, please refer to “Chapter 11. PCB Edit Menu” ~ “Chapter 12. Production Menu”.

2.1. Man-Machine Interface (MMI)

New
Used to create a new PCB file.

Open
Used to edit an existing PCB file.

Save
Used to save an opened file.

Save As
Used to save an opened file under a different name.

Merge Part Library
Use it to compare the Part Library of another machine with that of current machine and merge.

Recent File
Displays a list of files worked on recently.

Exit
Ends MMI session and goes back to Windows or terminates the operation of the machine.

Manual Tool
Enables manual operation of machine.

Current position
Displays the current position and nozzle name of each axis in real time.

System Error Message
Checks the error message window, which is displayed when there is an machine error.

Dump Information (Place Error)
Displays the status of dumped parts during machine operation.

Tool bar Position
Sets the position of Menu Tool bar on the screen.

Mark3 TSG
Shows the error occurred during machine operation.

Displays the machine’s application program’s current version and miscellaneous information.

Language
Selects the language to be used for the application program of this machine. Options available are “Default” and “English”, and the default language is Korean.

Board
Register various information on the board to be produced.

Part
Register various information about the components to be placed.

Feeder
Sets the data related to the Tape, Stick, and Tray Feeder.

Step
Defines the step for placement operation.

ANC Cfg
Shows the nozzle information when the nozzles of the previous PCB file and current system ANC are different.

Cycle
Checks the cycle by step.

Opti
Executes Optimizer.

Cancel
Closes the dialog box for the Board, Part, Feeder, and Step.

Start
Starts operation after downloading PCB.

Stop
Stops operation.

Cont
Continues previous operation.

Finish
Finishes the downloaded operation completely.

T/F Cnt
Sets the position of the pocket to start picking up components from the Tray Feeder.

PCB D/L
Transmits PCB operation data to the machine. It is possible only when the machine status is ‘Finish’.

Pd. Info
Checks the number of pickups, placements, and pickup error rates by head, nozzle, and feeder.

Feeder Monitor
Shows the quantity of remaining parts in the mounted tape feeder, enables setting up the quantity of remaining parts for part shortage warning, and allows monitoring of the errors related with tape feeder parts supply.Checks the number of pickups, placements, and pickup error rates by head, nozzle,and feeder.

Used to print a PCB file or system data.

Pd. Info
Displays various production management data for the machine(total time, placement information, and error information).

Copy
Use it to copy the existing PCB file data to other PCB files.

File Man
Use it to copy, delete, rename and clear the files related to MMI.

ByPass
Use it to bypass a PCB on the conveyor without placement operation.

Warmup
Warms up the driving axis after power supply.

Check the I/O status.

Conveyor
Checks the Stopper, Backup Table, Hole/Edge Fixture, and Conveyor Flow.

Light
Checks the Camera Light.

Tray
Checks the Tray Feeder function.

Limit
Sets the position limit for each axis to move.

Offset
Sets the offset value of the actual position of each device from the reference value of the installation position.

Mount Offset

Origin
Sets the origin of each component of the machine.

Dump
Sets the data related to the Dump Box.

Tray
Sets the data related to the Tray Feeder.

Camera
Sets various data on the Camera and executes camera calibration.

Preference
Sets various options necessary for machine operation.

Device
Manages data related to the Tape, Stick, and Nozzle.

The methods for selecting a command are as follows;

When the icon is displayed, click on the desired icon.

Display pull down menu and click on the command.

When the pull down menu is displayed, enter the underlined letter of each command using the keyboard.

Use shortcut keys. When the command is underlined, press Alt + the underlined letter, and the cursor moves to that position or executes the command.

For the command that is marked Ctrl (or Alt)+□ after the pull down menu command, shortcut keys can be used. The shortcut key is a method to select a command directly without using the cursor by pressing Ctrl (or Alt) key together with the designated key simultaneously. In this manual, shortcut key is indicted by a “[ ]” after the command. Example: New [Ctrl+N]
